Judge Prosperous Regarding The Ethics Decision Of The Police Mutation Of Members Of The South Jakarta Police In The Sambo Case

JAKARTA - The panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court was surprised by the decision of the Police Code of Ethics Session (KKEP) which imposed a demotion sanction on members of the South Jakarta Metro Police who were involved in the investigation into the murder case of Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. The judge's surprise began when he listened to the statements of witnesses AKP Rifaizal Samual and Aipda Arsyad Daiva. They are the former Head of Subunit 1 Reskrimum and Head of Subunit 1 Unit 1 Crimum South Jakarta Metro Police. Arsyad initially said that during the process of processing the crime scene (TKP) he was assigned to find an ambulance to carry the body of Brigadier J. "At that time we saw a body, I was tasked with looking for an ambulance, but I invited one member to call an ambulance," Arsyad said during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, November 21. Then, after hearing the statement, the judge immediately questioned Asryad's current status. Then, he was answered if he was no longer serving at the South Jakarta Police. Instead, it has been transferred to Yanma Police Headquarters. "What was the mistake?" asked the judge. "At that time the mistake was that we were unprofessional in handling cases and we received evidence," Arsyad replied. This is when the judge was surprised by the sanctions. Because, referring to the testimony, Arsyad made a mistake because of pressure from Ferdy Sambo, who was then a general with the position of Head of the Propam Police Division. "Honestly, I myself feel strange about the decision, without me intending to intervene. If your story is like that, where is the unprofessionalism? While you are under pressure. You did not convey something like that during the ethics trial?" asked the judge. Arsyad just fell silent. Until finally, the judge threw questions, all of which were done on the basis of fear. "Don't you dare?" asked the judge again. "Ready," replied Arsyad. Similarly, the judge was also surprised by the sanctions given to AKP Rifaizal Samual. Originally, he was transferred to Yanma Polri and special placement (patsus) for 30 days. "What was the mistake at the ethics trial?" asked the judge. "You can't status quo crime scene. So only investigators should be at the crime scene," said Samual. "Even though you were actually pressured by FS?" said the judge. "That's right," said Samual. Then, the judge asked whether Samual was not self-defense at that time. The South Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit said it had defended but was in vain because it was still found guilty.
