Guarding The Voting In The 2024 General Election, PKB Orders The National Winning Witness Institute

JAKARTA - PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin launched the PKB DPP National Winning Witness Institute. His job will oversee the acquisition of PKB votes in the 2024 General Election.

"Today PKB launched the National Winning Witness Institute, a very strategic institution to oversee vote acquisition in every election, both legislative and presidential elections which ends with the Regional Head Election," said Cak Imin at the PKB DPP Office, Central Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday 21 November.

Cak Imin said that the witnesses to be inaugurated by his party institution cover all levels of vote count, ranging from provinces, districts, sub-districts, to the level of polling stations (TPS).

He also underlined that the TPS level was the spearhead in overseeing and supervising vote count.

For this reason, said Cak Imin, political parties, especially PKB, have an obligation to maintain transparency, freedom, honesty, openness in the implementation of elections so that they are well maintained.

In overseeing this commitment, he said his party would continue to train and prepare all personnel to work effectively in carrying out their duties as witnesses to oversee vote count at the national level.

"Therefore, I ask all ranks of one year for a short time to prepare personnel, prepare cadres, prepare the work system so that our voices are well maintained," he said.

He also hopes that by carrying out the task of guarding the vote count, it can revive the democratic election situation, as in the 1999 election when the election after the reform was held first in Indonesia. "We want the 1999 election to repeat itself well, in which all parties are supervisors and are witnesses of the transparency of the election implementation," he said.

The Executive Director of the PKB DPP National Winning Witness Institute, Chusnunia Chalim, added that vote security is one of the important points in guarding election victory so that the presence of witness institutions is needed. "The most important thing is post-voting, namely vote security and there is one very urgent role in this, namely witnesses. Therefore, witness institutions are very important in winning elections," said the Deputy Governor of Lampung., if the security is not maximal, it will cause or there could be a potential loss of votes," he said.
