According to Arsul, as long as the candidate pairs have not registered officially with the KPU, it is possible that the Prabowo - Ganjar duo duo could still happen.

"With the period of time leading to the registration of the presidential election which is still quite long, more than 10 months, then any possibility related to candidate pairs is open and possible," said Arsul.

However, PPP, added Arsul, still proposes nationalist and religious figures to be paired as presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024. Although, the background of political parties is not always from religious political parties.

"In the form of Islamic political parties, PPP frankly proposes more figures who can be called representing nationalist-religious circles. Although the so-called religious does not necessarily come from Islamic political parties," said Arsul.
