Reflecting On The Motorcyclist's Death Being Hit By A Tree, DLH Pasaman Barat Pangkas Tree On Jalan Bandarejo-Jambak

SUMBAR - West Pasaman Environment Agency (DLH) cut trees along the Bandarejo-Jambak national road. The effort was to anticipate the collapse of a tree that hit the driver who passed the road.

"We are cutting trees that are already towering and weathered because they are very prone to breaking and hitting motorists," said Head of West Pasaman DLH, Arminingdel at Simpang Empat, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), Sunday, November 20.

Arminingdel said the West Pasaman DLH only involved PLN and the Transportation Service in cutting trees. DLH coordinates if there are tree branches or branches that cover traffic signs or cover public street lighting (PJU).

"We are very careful because there is an electric pole near the tree, so we need to coordinate with PLN," he said. His party is very selective and very careful in cutting trees because the existence of trees is also very important for the sustainability of the surrounding environment. Besides functioning as a storage of clean water in tree soil, it also functions as a converter of Carbon (CO2) into Oxygen (O2) which is very much needed by living things, especially humans.

Head of the Cleanliness and Park Division of the West Pasaman Environment Service, Andika Saputra, added that there needed to be a balanced effort between the safety of residents and the protection of trees.

He said the element of beautifying the district center area was also a function of environmental conservation, his party considered.

"We at the Environmental Service really pay attention to the existence of trees, we also pay close attention to the beauty and safety of the community," he said. Hopefully, our efforts can be supported by the surrounding community and motorists," he said. Previously, on the Bandarejo-Jambak national road there were broken tree branches and hit the driver causing death.
