A Viral Video Of A Grandmother Being Kicked By A Student, North Sumatra Police Guarding Nine Perpetrators: Already Returned To Parents, But In Police Supervision

JAKARTA - A video showing an elderly woman being kicked by a number of students has gone viral on social media. The video states that the incident occurred on Jalan Lintas Panompuan, East Angkola, South Tapanuli, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).

The video uploaded to the Instagram account @Jktnewss, Sunday, November 20. It was seen that the grandmother bounced and fell onto the asphalt, after being opposed by the students. In fact, there was a sound of hysterical crying so hard to endure pain.

The grandmother then ran away from the students to save herself. Meanwhile, the students seemed to step on the gas leaving the scene.

This video also went viral on Twitter after uploading the @zoelfick account received attention from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD. In fact, Mahfud immediately 'played' the @DivHumas_Polri account.

Contacted separately, the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, confirmed the incident. He said the elderly woman was referred to as a person with mental disorders (ODGJ).

Furthermore, the police secured the students. For further investigation.

"There were nine SMK children who kicked and hit a grandmother suspected of being ODGJ, one person. The children have been arrested by the Resort Police and are under investigation," Hadi said when confirmed, Sunday, November 20.

"The old people of the children apologize for the behavior of their children," he continued.

Hadi explained that the examination was based on the examination, it turned out that there were two videos that went viral about violence against the elderly woman. In the first video, there appears to be one student who commits violence by kicking, namely IHR and being recorded by his friend, ZA.

"The first video recordings that were secured and examined were five students and it was concluded that the one who carried out the violence by kicking was the IHR recorded by ZA," he said.

Meanwhile, for the second video examination, there were four students who approached the woman. Then one of the students hit with a wood and his partner immortalized it.

"The results of the second video examination that were secured by four students and concluded that the one who hit using wood was VH which was recorded by AR," he said.

Recently, the nine students have been returned to their respective parents. However, it remains under the supervision of the police.

"The nine students were returned to their parents because all were underage, but were still under the supervision of the Resort Police," he concluded.
