JAKARTA - A man was found floating in the Ambarulang Jorong Market River, Friday, Nagari Tanjung Binkung, Kubung District, Solok Regency, West Sumatra, Saturday, November 19.

After being identified, the body was named Amad Muhammad, 53 years old. The head of the Solok Armen Regency BPBD through the Head of Emergency and Logistics Division, Adrul, said that the victim was a car paint man every day.

"The victim is named Amad Muhammad (53) Betawi tribe. He works as a car paint maker every day. Domiciled in Jorong Pasar Jumat, Nagari Tanjung Kunkung, Kubung District, Solok Regency," said Adrul, as reported by Antara.

Based on information from the family, the deceased on Friday afternoon was in a state of fever. The victim was later found dead floating around 10.00 WIB.

It is suspected that the deceased slipped into the river and did not get help. The body was then taken to the funeral home in Jorong Batu Plano Nagari Selayo.

The Head of the Kubung Police, Iptu Andri Perkasa, explained the chronology of the discovery of the victim by a witness Andri Putra Chaniago.

"The witness saw the victim lying face down on the surface of the Ambarulang River, Jorong Pasar Friday, Nagari Tanjung Binkung, Kubung District," he said.

Not a few away from the location, a fishing rod was also found that allegedly belonged to the victim. Then the victim was taken to the Solok Hospital. The hospital was declared dead.

The Kubung Police personnel together with the Criminal Investigation Unit Identification Team visited the crime scene, from the family agreed not to carry out an autopsy or post-mortem on the victim which was confirmed by a statement letter and signed by the family.

"The witnesses to the incident included Andri Putra Chaniago (19) and Antoni (37) who are local residents," he said.
