JAKARTA - All pathologists in Indonesia hold social service events simultaneously in 24 cities. This is an activity to commemorate International Pathology Day as well as in the series of Birthdays of the 72nd Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) and Indonesian Health Day (HKN). International Patological Day in 2022 carries the theme Pathologists: Hand In Hand, All Together, For A Better World. This activity is centered in the city of Jakarta, namely Gelora Bung Karno.

This event was packed with a relaxed atmosphere and "fun". The event was also filled with joint sports activities and games that could be followed by large families of pathologies and the general public.

Chairman of the National Committee for International Patology Day 2022 in Indonesia, Dr. Diah Rini, SpPA said, "This joint activity is a place to convey the widest possible health information, particularly in the fields of clinical pathology, anatomyal pathology, and forensic pathology directly to the community as well as the role of pathology in health services."

"Through this activity and Setema activities in other cities in Indonesia can foster a sense of kinship among members of these three professional organizations and can increase good cooperation in order to improve the quality of health services for the Indonesian population," he continued.

The peak activity of the 2022 International Patological Day was opened with a healthy path with the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Doctors Association, Dr. Moh. Adib Khumaidi, SpOT. In his speech, Dr. Adib said, Patology is a key role in detecting and diagnosing diseases in the human body.

He also revealed that in his development the pathology sector faced many challenges. Among them is the lack of human resources as an expert in pathology.

The increasing need and complexity of tests and workloads is also due to an increase in population population, as well as an increase in the incidence of cancer and infectious diseases.
