JAKARTA - The security store in the Lubang Buaya area, Cipayung District, East Jakarta became a victim of a robbery. Because the perpetrator was carrying a sharp weapon, the security officer was unable to fight back, and his body was even injured as a result of being stabbed by a sickle by the perpetrator.

The robbery was caught on CCTV surveillance cameras installed at the scene on Jalan Kramat 5, Lubang Buaya, Cipayung, East Jakarta.

Judging from the CCTV footage, it can be seen that two robbers were walking around monitoring the surrounding situation. The two perpetrators pretended to pass the victim while monitoring the situation.

When deemed safe, one of the perpetrators got out of his vehicle approached the victim and immediately took the cellphone. The perpetrator also slashed a sharp weapon into the victim's head until he was injured.

After the victim was injured, the perpetrator fled on a motorbike while carrying the victim's cellphone.

According to the information from the head of the local RT, Boih, the incident made residents even more worried. He appealed to residents not to do activities at night.

"Kejadian itu biasanya (terjadi) di jalur jalan raya saja, ( sekarang) mereka coba masuk ke dalam melihat keamanan lagi mesih HP. (Pelaku) langsung bacok keamanan," kata Boih kepada wartawan, Jumat, 18 November.

Boih said the working hours of the perpetrators usually start at 01.00 WIB until 03.00 WIB.

"Residents above 12 o'clock must reduce their activities outside. As a result of the incident, the security was injured and immediately taken to the hospital. The victim's cellphone was taken by the perpetrator," he said.

After the incident, the victim reported the incident to the Cipayung Police. Currently the two perpetrators are in pursuit.
