Police Investigate The Implementation Of House Renovation Projects KILLED By Elderly Women In Kemayoran

The Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim investigated the alleged negligence of the house construction project that collapsed and killed Melka Eleonara Sibbald (70). Melka died after being hit by concrete cast material while the house construction process was underway.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin said this element of negligence was one of the causes of the collapse of the corona.

"We are still investigating the factors causing the collapse. We are investigating whether there is an element of negligence, especially if the house is under renovation," said Kombes Komarudin when confirmed by VOI, Friday, November 18.

Kombes Komarudin said his party had examined a number of witnesses related to the incident that killed a housewife. The witnesses examined consisted of homeowners to construction workers who carried out renovations.

"Of the workers and homeowners, only two or three people have been examined," he said.

Previously, it was reported that Melka, a housewife, died when she was hit by a cement building that was being renovated on Jalan Sumur Bayu Raya Sumba, RT 04 RW 03 No. 18, Sumur Village, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Saturday, November 12.

Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Ardiansyah confirmed the incident. Melka died when she was hit by a renovated building.

"Yes, it is true that one person died. The victim was hit by casting, at that time the owner of the house was at the bottom and the handyman was on the 2nd floor," said Ardiansyah when confirmed, Sunday, November 13.
