French Aircraft Delegation G20 Summit Starting Parking At Lombok Airport

JAKARTA - Two planes from the G20 Summit delegation which were held November 15-16 in Bali, began arriving at the parking lot of the Lombok International Airport, West Nusa Tenggara.

"Last night there was already a plane belonging to the G20 delegation from France which was parked at Lombok Airport," said Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok International Airport, Arif Haryanto in Praya, Monday, November 14.

For Lombok International Airport, it is planned that two planes from the G20 Summit delegation will be parked and other delegation planes are scheduled to park at other airports.

"Another one will come this afternoon," he said as quoted by Antara.

Previously, PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok Airport, West Nusa Tenggara was committed to fully supporting the WSBK 2022 international event at the Mandalika Circuit and the G20 Summit in Bali.

The form of support includes, among others, that various capacity developments and carrying capacity as well as the carrying capacity and facilities of Lombok Airport, ranging from runways, aprons, passenger terminals, to cargo facilities. Overall, Lombok Airport infrastructure and facilities are ready to support the implementation of WSBK 2022 & G20 Summit activities," said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok Airport Rahmat Adil Indrawan.

Meanwhile, on the air side, Lombok Airport has allocated 4 parking stands for narrow bodies or 2 parking stands for wide-body aircraft for delegates from the G20 Summit, 4 parking stands for Indonesian Air Force aircraft to secure the G20 Summit, 2 parking stands for wide-body aircraft carrying WSBK logistics, and 10 parking stands for regular flights.

"For personnel at Lombok Airport, we have prepared 119 internal personnel. Meanwhile, from external parties, there are 110 security personnel from the Indonesian Air Force, Army, Resort Police, and Mobile Brigade, including the Evacuation Task Force," he said.

In addition, to support the smooth implementation of the 2022 WSBK activities and the G20 Summit, an Integrated Monitoring Post was operated at Lombok Airport. This post consists of elements of Angkasa Pura I, Airport Authority Region IV, TNI AU, TNI AD, Polri, Perum LPPNPI, Customs and Excise, Immigration, KKP, Gapura Angkasa, Pertamina, and ACS.

"Regarding airport operations, from 12 to 18 November 2022 Lombok Airport will adjust the operational time of the airport to 24 hours, from currently only 14 hours, which is 06.00 WITA to 20.00 WITA," he said.
