Turkey Captang Perpetrator Bom Istanbul, Call The Order Of The Blast Datang Dari Syria Utara

JAKARTA - Turkish officials moved quickly to respond to an explosion on Jalan Istiklal Istanbul that killed six people. The perpetrators - who allegedly left the bomb - have reportedly been arrested.

This information was conveyed by the Minister of Home Affairs, Suleyman Soylu, as seen from the Twitter account of the Anadolu Agency news agency, Monday, November 14.

"Orders for the deadly terror attack came from Ayn al-Arab in northern Syria, where PKK/YPG have its headquarters in Syria," Soylu was quoted as saying.

Turkey promised not to remain silent with this act of terror. They ensured that they would investigate and counter all terror attacks on Turkey.

Previously, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the explosion in Istanbul a terrorism bomb attack, ensuring the perpetrators would be punished according to regulations.

Hundreds of people fled the historic Istiklal Avenue after the explosion, as ambulances and police rushed in. The area, in Beyoglu District, as usual on weekends is packed with buyers, tourists and families.

Video footage obtained by Reuters showed the moment of the explosion occurred at 4:13 p.m. local time, sending debris into the air and leaving several people lying on the ground, while others staggered.

Hours after the explosion, Vice President Fuat Oktay visited the site to provide the latest death toll and injury, and vowed to resolve the issue "soon".

Authorities said a government ministry worker and daughter were among the dead. Five people are in intensive care at the hospital, two of whom are in critical condition.

It is known that Istanbul and other Turkish cities had been targeted by Kurdish separatists, Islamist militants, and other groups, including in a series of attacks in 2015 and 2016.

"Efforts to defeat Turkey and the Turkish people through terrorism will fail today as they did yesterday and tomorrow," President Erdogan told a news conference before flying to Indonesia for the G20 summit.
