BANDA ACEH - Banda Aceh's Zainoel Abidin General Hospital (RSUZA) is still treating two children with acute kidney problems. Currently, the condition of the two children has started to improve.
"Currently, there are still two patients being treated, namely from South Aceh and Pidie Regencies," said Director of RSUZA Banda Aceh Dr. Isra Firmansyah in Banda Aceh, Antara, Wednesday, November 9.
After undergoing intensive treatment at RSUZA, the two patients had started to improve from the first time they were in severe condition. At the beginning of the treatment, the two children experienced a condition of decreased consciousness so that urine did not come out.
"Alhamdulillah, one has been treated for 17 days and the other is about nine days. Currently, the urine has come out to meet the normal limit, awareness is good," he said.
Because it has started to improve, he said, one patient was immediately removed from the PICU treatment room and moved to an ordinary room.
So far, there have been no additional cases of acute kidney disorders at the hospital owned by the Aceh Provincial Government since the Indonesian Ministry of Health's use of sirop drugs was stopped.
"We have reduced the sirop drug and it is no longer used in this hospital," said the pediatrician.
This year, RSUZA Banda Aceh has handled 29 cases of acute kidney disorders, 22 of which died, five recovered, and two people are being treated.
