Protests Lawyer Ferdy Sambo Regarding Live Broadcast Sessions, Judge: It's Out Of Our Authority

JAKARTA - The follow-up trial of the murder of Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J was accompanied by an objection letter from the two defendants' team of lawyers, Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawati.

In the letter submitted to the Chairman of the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel), there were a number of objection points. Panel of Judges Wahyu Iman Santoasa who presided over the trial read it.

First, Sambo and Putri's advisory team objected to the trial being broadcast live. Wahyu immediately responded by saying that the South Jakarta District Court evaluates every day after the trial is over.

"We have conveyed to our media colleagues that we have even arranged it, but in fact it still exists, it is beyond our authority," Wahyu said in a trial scheduled to listen to the statements of a number of witnesses at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, November 8.

The next point, the two defendants also objected to Susi's domestic assistant (ART)'s statement at the trial of Richard totaling alias Bharada E was broadcast in the national media and the court environment. Meanwhile, the voices of Sambo's ex-aide and others were made a fuss.

Wahyu said the audio of the hearing was played to meet the interests of media crews who performed jukrnalistic performance at the South Jakarta District Court.

"Once again, we convey that the trial is broadcast around the court office, its function is for the needs of fellow journalists who want to listen to the trial but because of the limited courtroom, we will broadcast it in a limited environment," Wahyu said.

Wahyu then asked those with an interest on TV Pool to recall the agreement with colleagues from TV.

"Not broadcasting live in the sense that includes his voice. We have done that many times, but there are still leaks either broadcast via YouTube or something else, we don't know anything," he said.
