TANGERANG - The Indonesian Fighters Forum (FPPI), which consists of Purnawirawan, ranging from members of honor, extraordinary, and civilians to attack the Tangerang City Metro Police. The goal is that they will explain to the Police Chief about the case of beating the Chinese group to Major Cipto.

"Our goal here is only one according to the FPPI vision and mission. We will stand tall in the middle between the government and the people. Now the government includes the Police and its staff," said FPPI Chairman Sugeng Waras, Tuesday, November 8.

Based on the information received, Sugeng revealed that the party that ganged up on Major Cipto was the Chinese group reporting first. Therefore, he went to the Tangerang City Metro Police to explain the actual incident.

"Investigating that those who gang up on them actually report first, of course the report can be objective or not. (So) To avoid various situations, we try to explain helping the police chief," he said.

"The response (the police chief) is positive, we also respond positively because we should not prevent bigger problems from happening," he continued.

On that occasion, Sugeng explained his case regarding the beating case.

Starting from the COVID-19 era, road access at the location near Major Cipto's residence was closed by a group of some ethnic Chinese. However, after the Coronavirus had declined, the road access was reopened.

Long story short, some time ago, the road access was again closed by the group. As a result, there was an argument between Major Cipto and the Chinese group.

"But really, there are signs of being closed again, even locked, so there was a fight and a beating emerged," he said.

Due to this incident, the victim made a police report in October 2022. He revealed that his party did not hold any physical resistance, because it would leave it entirely to the legal process.

"So at all I don't want to put up a fight, but let's see later the legal process, the most important thing is that I have advised the Police Chief, please handle this professionally, proportionally, and procedurally transparently," he concluded.
