JAKARTA - BMKG Region V Jayapura stated that the total lunar eclipse can be seen by the public for 1 hour 25 minutes.
The Coordinator for Observation of the BMKG Center Region V Danang Pamuji said the lunar eclipse will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7. The eclipse can be witnessed directly by the public.
The lunar eclipse is expected to start appearing at 17.00 WIT and ends at 22.57 WIT and the total lunar eclipse can be seen starting at 19.59 WIT which will last about one hour 25 minutes.
"People can see natural phenomena whose cycle occurs once every 18 years with the naked eye," said Danang in Jayapura, Antara, Monday, November 7.
BMKG will focus on monitoring at meteorological stations in Dok II Lower in front of the Jayapura governor's office.
BMKG will also provide binoculars that can be used to view astronomical objects.
"We will also do live streaming so that people can watch and hope for clean weather," said Danang.
