MUKOMUKO - The Mukomuko Regency Government, Bengkulu Province immediately paid the salaries of thousands of honorary teachers and non-education workers who served in the area for five months from July-November 2022. "Their salary payments will be in the near future or after the signing of the decree on the extension of honorary teachers and non-education workers at schools," said Head of the Mukomuko District Education and Culture Office Epi Mardiani in Mukomuko, Antara, Monday, November 7. He said this was following up on the plan of 158 honorary educators and non-education at schools that went on strike because they had not received a salary for the past five months. Epi added, of course, this administrative process requires a process. Currently, the head of the field is checking to ensure the draft decree for the extension of the regional honorary workers' contracts. "When the draft decree has been completed, the honorary staff extension is verified by the legal department, after that it is signed by the regent. Then the distribution of decrees and payment of salaries," he said. Regarding the plan of 158 honorary workers to strike, he made sure that would not happen. "Reports from school principals, teachers with honorary status today entered and actively taught as usual," he said. He stated that the local government through agencies had tried to fight for the good fate of honorary teachers who planned to go on strike. "Even not only teachers, all of them including those who serve as administrative staff, we are fighting for us," he said. The Coordinator of the Regional Employee Teacher Area with the Teramang Jaya District Contact Agreement Almukhizen said, as many as 158 teachers today continue to carry out their duties as usual. "For now, my friends are still entering and teaching as usual," he said. He said as many as 158 honorary teachers before agreeing to strike but the action was canceled.
