SOLO - The Solo City Government has again accelerated booster vaccinations following the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in recent times. "The appeal is to hold a booster. There are already vaccine stocks available, there have been more shipments," said Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo, Antara, Monday, November 7. Including people out of town who are going to Solo to attend several activities, he asked to undergo a booster vaccination first in their respective areas of origin before entering Solo. However, he ensured that all activities that had been scheduled for the end of this year would continue according to schedule. "Activities will continue to run normally, but for example for congresses, even though vaccines are already available, it does not mean that vaccine migrants are here. Keep vaccines at their respective origins. We have vaccine stocks but the priority is for Solo residents first," he said. Related to this, his party will immediately coordinate with the committee of Muhammadiyah's 48th Congress and 'Aisyiyah'. "Later, if you enter the venues for organizing the event, such as the UMS Edutorium, the Manahan Stadium Cares to Protect it is mandatory, for boosters," he said. When asked about the implementation of restrictions on community activities, he will not limit them as before. "Because this is for economic recovery. Meanwhile, Head of the Surakarta City Health Office (DKK) Siti Wahyuningsih said that last Monday, 20.000 doses of Pfizer vaccine had been brought in. "This is what we get vaccinated every day. He also asked the public to be enthusiastic about participating in booster vaccinations so that people's immunity will be stronger. Regarding the addition of COVID-19 cases in Solo, based on data from the COVID-19 Task Force as of today there are 21 new cases added. Thus, a total of 88 patients undergoing self-isolation and 69 people undergoing treatment at the hospital.
