A total of four sub-districts in Tangerang Regency are prone to moving ground or landslides at the end of the 2022 rainy season. This is based on a mapping of the local Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

"Based on the landslide disaster, we are in Tanjung Buring, Teluknaga District. Then Legok, Solar and Panongan Districts, usually the most prone to occur along riverbanks, along the Cisadane river," said Head of BPBD Tangerang Regency, Ujat Sudrajat, in Tangerang, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 6.

He explained that in determining the four areas in Tangerang Regency that were prone to landslides, it was judged from unstable soil contours.

So, he continued, based on these conditions, people in four disaster-prone areas are advised to increase awareness of landslide threats so that there can be minimized casualties and property losses.

"However, in Tangerang Regency itself, for disasters there is more water overflow than soil movement. So even if there is a landslide, we can make sure the area is close to the river flow," he said.

He added, for areas prone to flood disasters, his party has noted that there are seven sub-districts that are included in the vulnerability points, including Legok, Kelapa Dua, Pasarkemis, Teluknaga, Pakuhaji, Solear, Jayanti and Kresek.

"The most vulnerable thing that is flowed directly by three rivers, for example in Pakuhaji and Teluknaga is the estuary of the Cisanda River. Meanwhile, Kresek, Gunung Kaler, Kronjo is the Cidurian River. Kelapa Dua is the Sabi River," he added.

He revealed, when entering the peak of the rainy season, at the points of the area usually the height of the flood water can reach more than one meter.

Therefore, in dealing with these disasters, his party is currently preparing Human Resources (HR) and qualified equipment.

"The Tangerang Regency Government has also formed a Disaster Resilient Village. Where, it is one of the capacity boosters in the midst of flood-prone communities and other disasters. Currently there are five sub-districts, four villages and one sub-district that are the pilot projects of Disaster Resilient Villages," he said.
