The police are hunting for the perpetrators of the theft of three kilograms of gold from Elisa's Gold Shop on Diponegoro Putussibau Street, North Putussibau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan).

"We have processed the crime scene (TKP) and investigated and pursued the perpetrators," said Head of the Kapuas Hulu Police Satreskrim IPTU Indrawan in Putussibau Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan, Sunday, November 6.

Indrawan said the theft was first discovered by Eva, the wife of the owner of the Gold Shop on Sunday, November 6, at around 07.00 WIB.

At that time Eva, who was about to open a shop to sell, found that the condition in the gold shop was a mess. Brankas is lying down and the gold in the shop is no longer there.

Seeing this condition, Eva contacted her husband named Efendi to come to the gold shop. The husband then checked and reported the theft to the Kapuas Hulu Police.

Indrawan said that from this incident his party had visited the TKP to conduct an investigation, allegedly the perpetrator entered the gold shop by destroying it through the back door.

After that, the perpetrator committed the theft of gold in the shop.

"We are still trying to reveal the perpetrator, while the CCTV at the gold shop did not work, it was suspected that the driver or recorder from the CCTV was taken by the perpetrator," he said.

For this incident, Indrawan appealed to all special communities of gold traders to be more vigilant and careful, so that similar incidents do not happen again to gold shops and other traders and communities.

"What is clear is that we are ready to reveal the perpetrators of the gold shop theft," he said.

Meanwhile, Efendi hopes that the perpetrators of the theft will be caught soon.

He also said that apart from about three kilograms of gold, there were also around Rp. 10 million in cash that was lost in his shop.
