JAKARTA - The Timor Leste government is interested in buying military tactical equipment from Indonesia. One of them is Parabellum produced by PT Catur Bakti Persada.
"The plan is for them to buy individual equipment, equipment and uniforms in the 2023 budget for the Timor Leste army, which will also recruit new members," said President Director of PT Catur Bakti Persada (CBP) Ivan Roy Parningotan Nainggolan, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 6.
Ivan revealed that the Timor Leste Government was interested in buying military tactical equipment produced by Parabellum after one of its officials visited the PT CBP booth during the 2022 IndoDefence exhibition in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
DG Adm of DRTL Mod or Director General of the Ministry of Defense Timor Leste, Nuno Carvalho Dos Santos who visited the Parabellum booth was interested in buying military tactical equipment.
Nuno was accompanied by the Indonesian Defense Attache in Timor Leste, Colonel Yunianus Simamora while visiting the Indo Defense 2022 exhibition.
Ivan said the Timor Leste Government plans to buy integrated individual equipment (IPP).
"The point is that the Timor Leste Government is happy with our production for plans to purchase uniforms, IPP sets and PDL shoes," said Ivan.
Apart from Timor Leste, Ivan said that there are several countries that are interested in products from PT Catur Bakti Persada, namely Saudi Arabia and Russia.
Previously, Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman visited the Parabellum booth while attending the 2022 Indo Defense industry exhibition at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta.
On that occasion, Dudung accompanied by Ivan Roy Parningotan Nainggolan and Parabellum T-Bone Founder observed several military shoes, such as Parabellum Cobra, Libra, and XTRACX Black as well as surveillance vests integrated with other individual tactical equipment, namely the Parabellum Scalable Combat Application Vector System (SCAVS).
"So, this Parabellum SCAVS is made depending on the order?" asked Dudung, which was confirmed by Ivan.
Representatives from the Parabellum Pije Product Development team said that the materials used to make the SCAVS Parabellum were multi-cams imported directly from the United States.
Pije also said that the Parabellum SCAVS product featured in the Indo Defense 2022 is a sample. T-Bone then added that the Parabellum SCAVS will continue to be developed until its release moment at the end of this year.
