This Is Transjakarta's Explanation Regarding Consistent Buses In The Middle Of The Halimun KRL Rail

JAKARTA - One Transjakarta bus with the number SAF 105 which crosses corridor 4 has stalled amid the Commuter Line railroad crossing in the Halimun area, South Jakarta on Friday, November 4.

This incident shocked Twitter's social media. At that time, the conditions were raining and the traffic situation was quite congested. A number of netizens admitted that bus drivers forced the flow when the train warning siren started to sound.

However, based on the explanation of the Head of the Transjakarta Corporate Secretary Division, Anang Rizkani Noor, the new train warning siren sounded when the bus position was already in the middle of the rail crossing.

"When the bus crosses the Halimun railroad tracks, the road conditions are quite congested. Not long after, the train warning siren sounded, while the bus position was still in the middle of the railroad crossing," Anang said in his statement, Sunday, November 6.

Anang said that at that time, the bus driver made the right decision by asking the vehicle behind him to withdraw while participating in reversing the bus fleet.

He continued, the process of delaying the bus was also assisted by Transjakarta Patrol officers who were at the location.

"As a result of the driver's quick initiative, the bus can be pushed back to a safe position outside the rail crossing, all passengers are safe, and no one gets off the bus," said Anang.

At the time of the incident, there was one female passenger who broke the rear glass of the bus with a glassy hammer due to panic. This left his hand injured due to being hit by shards of glass. Anang said, now the victim has been sent home.

"We have evacuated all bus passengers to the Pasar Rumput Bus Stop, and one injured victim has been treated at the Setia Budi Clinic and has been allowed to go home," he explained.
