SUMBAR - A number of buildings in Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) were burned to the ground on Sunday 6 November, at around 02.00 WIB. The red rooster devoured the office area and a number of rooms of SMAN 1 Six Lindung.

The Head of the Fire Department of the Civil Service Police Unit and the Padang Pariaman Regency Fire Department, Panca Fidia, said it took more than three hours to extinguish the fire due to the large number of fires and the large number of burning objects.

"There are no fatalities while the losses are still being calculated by related parties," he said at Parik Malintang, Padang, Sunday, November 6, as reported by Antara.

He said the burning school buildings included school principals' rooms, teacher rooms, cooperatives, multimedia, and laboratories.

Panca said the fire information was received by his party at around 02.20 WIB. A total of six fire engines were deployed from the regencies and cities of Padang Pariaman and Padang Panjang.

Although most of the fires in Padang Pariaman were caused by human error and an electrical short circuit, the cause of the fire at high school was not yet known.

"Currently, the police are investigating the cause of the fire," he said.

Panca said that his party did not receive information that the first room caught fire because from the information from the fire community it was known that it had spread in many of these rooms.

Even so, until now the police are still investigating the origin of the cause of the fire.
