2 Victims Of The Malang Disruption Tragedy Autopsied, A Forensic Doctor Was Performed From The Independent Team

Six forensic doctors who are members of the East Java Branch of the Indonesian Forensic Doctors Association (PDFI) held an autopsy process on two victims of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. The two victims had the initials NBR (16) and NDA (13).

Chairman of the East Java PDFI Branch, Dr. Nabil Bahasuan in Malang Regency, Saturday, November 5, said the doctor who carried out the autopsy using the exhumation method came from an independent team formed by PDFI East Java.

"We formed an independent team consisting of two advisors, six operators," he said.

He explained that the team of doctors consisted of three universities each from the Faculty of Medicine, Hang Tuah University, Airlangga University, and Muhammadiyah University, Malang.

In addition, he continued, it involved four health facilities, namely the Kanjuruhan Hospital, Malang Regency, Dr. Sutomo Hospital, Surabaya Hospital, Bangkalan Syarifah Hospital, and Unair Education Hospital.

"Two advisors did not come. Then the other six are here to conduct an exhumation," he said.

On that occasion, the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Pol. Dirmanto, stated that the exhumation process was also guarded by the police. A number of police officers were alerted so that the autopsy process for the victims of Kanjuruhan went smoothly.

"We are also helping to prepare a security system here, so that the process runs smoothly," he said.

The autopsy process was carried out on two victims of the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, East Java, after the match between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya.

The autopsy process was carried out on NBR (16) and NDA (13) who were brothers, the son of a father named Devi Athok. Dei Athok is a resident of Bululawang District, Malang Regency.

Both were buried at the Patuk Hamlet Public Cemetery, Sukolilo Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency. The two victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy were buried side by side with the graves of their mothers who were also victims of the incident.

Previously, Devi Athok as the father of the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy had canceled the autopsy action on her two children. At that time, the East Java Regional Police (Polda) stated that the victim's family did not approve the autopsy process.

On Saturday, October 1, there was a riot after the match between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya with a final score of 2-3 at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency. The defeat caused a number of supporters to go down and enter the field area.

As a result of the incident, 135 people were reported to have died from fractures, trauma to the head and neck and asphysia or reduced oxygen levels in the body. In addition, it was also reported that hundreds of people suffered minor and serious injuries.
