Six forensic doctors who are members of the East Java Branch of the Indonesian Forensic Doctors Association (PDFI) held an autopsy process on two victims of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. The two victims had the initials NBR (16) and NDA (13).

Chairman of the East Java PDFI Branch, Dr. Nabil Bahasuan in Malang Regency, Saturday, November 5, said the doctor who carried out the autopsy using the exhumation method came from an independent team formed by PDFI East Java.

"We formed an independent team consisting of two advisors, six operators," he said.

He explained that the team of doctors consisted of three universities each from the Faculty of Medicine, Hang Tuah University, Airlangga University, and Muhammadiyah University, Malang.

In addition, he continued, it involved four health facilities, namely the Kanjuruhan Hospital, Malang Regency, Dr. Sutomo Hospital, Surabaya Hospital, Bangkalan Syarifah Hospital, and Unair Education Hospital.

On that occasion, the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Pol. Dirmanto, stated that the exhumation process was also guarded by the police. A number of police officers were alerted so that the autopsy process for the victims of Kanjuruhan went smoothly.
