Anies Calls His Trace Record In Jakarta To Be Tested, PDIP: What Works, It's Only Narrative

Member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD doubts that the claim of a presidential candidate from the NasDem Party, Anies Baswedan, who said his track record during his tenure as Governor of DKI Jakarta could be tested.

According to Gilbert, Anies' statement was just a hoax. Anies did not reveal what programs could be seen as successful during his leadership of Jakarta for the last five years.

"What Bung Anies said was just a narrative. No numbers were mentioned and what worked. Why wasn't the bicycle monument and formula E claimed to be successful? That's the original work? Including the bus stop at the HI Roundabout," Gilbert told reporters, Friday, November 4.

Even so, Gilbert views Anies as entitled to make his track record during his tenure as Governor of DKI to provide campaigns in the 2024 presidential election. However, he continued, the feasibility of Anies' work as capital for the presidential election was left to the public's assessment.

"Bung Anies has the right to run as a presidential candidate, the right of the public to choose who they think is right. What Bung Anies did will be opened to the public again, approaching the presidential election in February 2024. Everything will be more revealed later," said Gilbert.

Previously, Anies Baswedan saw the experience of being the Governor of DKI for the last five years as a provision for himself and supporting volunteers to win the 2024 presidential election.

This was conveyed by Anies in the declaration of support for Indonesian volunteers Anies to Anies as a presidential candidate at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Central Jakarta.

"All of our volunteers, Anies Indonesia, we offer to the Indonesian people, what has been done in Jakarta as material for us to offer to Indonesia," said Anies, Wednesday, November 2.

According to Anies, in order to win the election, he and his supporters did not campaign enough for the vision and mission of presidential candidates to be carried out during the 2024-2029 period.

What is no less important in campaigning, continued Anies, is his track record of leadership for five years in the capital city.

"What we offer is a track record of work that has actually been done. If the track record can be tested, the track record can be discussed. If the vision, who compiles it, does not need to prepare evidence, those who are against it can't prepare evidence because they are both imaginations, both about the future," explained Anies.
