A four-year-old boy was reported to have died as a result of being swept away by floods in Subulussalam City, Aceh Province. BPBA Chief Executive Ilyas said the victim AG was a resident of Siperkas Village, Subulussalam City. "The victim drowned while playing and bathing in front of his house," said Ilyas in Banda Aceh, Antara, Thursday, November 3. He explained that flooding in Subulussalam City began last Monday. AG was reported to have drowned on Wednesday. Until now, BPBA noted temporary data that three sub-districts were flooded, including Sultan Daulat District as many as three villages, Rundeng District as many as 13 villages, and Longkip District as many as three villages. "Heavy rains that flushed the Subulussalam City area and overflowed the Lae Souraya river water resulting in flooding and inundated roads and houses," he said. Temporary data on the affected victims were 1,628 families (KK). Meanwhile, the number of affected residents is still being collected by BPBD Subulussalam City officers. BPBD Subulussalam City continues to coordinate with related parties, and continues to be alert as well as monitor the location of the incident. The latest condition, he continued, was that the water discharge in a number of locations had gradually receded, but there were also several locations that were still inundated. "In Rundeng Air District, residents' houses are still inundated, several roads between villages are still not accessible due to puddles, the average height is between 50-80 centimeters," he said.
