Not Just Street, New Route Trans Jogja Palbapang-Ngabean Yogyakarta Is A Flashback In History

YOGYAKARTA - Deputy Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Aryo Paku Alam X said the new route for urban transportation from Trans Jogja to the Palbapang terminal, Bantul Regency, to the Ngabean terminal, Yogyakarta City, was a flashback of history. "The reconnection between Palbapang in the south of Yogyakarta and Ngabean in the city center (Yogyakarta) also became a flashback of history in 1895 ago," said the Deputy Governor in his remarks at the inauguration of the new Trans Jogja route for the Palbapang-Ngaben route at the Palbapang Bantul terminal, quoted from Antara, Thursday, November 3. The Deputy Governor said the two places, Palbapang and Ngabean, are train stations that connect Yogyakarta-Bantil and are part of the phrase Yogyakarta-Palbapang-Sewugalur (Kulon Progo) train. "And then on behalf of the DIY Regional Government, I appreciate the Bantul Regency Government (Pemerintah Kabupaten) for being a partner in the development of public transportation systems and services for the people of Yogyakarta, Bantul and its surroundings," he said. Furthermore, the Deputy Governor of Yogyakarta said that in the post of the implementation of public transportation services, the DIY Regional Government since 14 years ago has been committed to providing subsidies for urban public transportation through the DIY Regional Budget. "The subsidy is implemented through the "buy the service" system (purchase of services by the government to transportation service entrepreneurs) which then gave birth to Trans Jogja buses in February 2008," he said. He said this was also in line with the vision of the Governor of Yogyakarta in 2022-2027, namely realizing the Panca Mulia of the Yogyakarta community through village reforms, empowering the southern region, as well as developing a culture of innovation and the use of information technology. "Where the second mission of empowering the southern region is formulated by optimizing infrastructure support to increase human resource capacity (HR) and protection or management of local resources," he said.
