The East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) is still examining witnesses on theUCKy bus accident on the Depok route: Soetta Airport crashed into a used car showroom on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, East Jakarta. If in the BAP there is an element of negligence, then there will be a suspect determination.

"Today we are taking information that has a showroom and bus assistant. Kernet and the owner of the showroom are examined as witnesses," said East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit Head, AKBP Edy Surasa when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, November 3.

From the results of eyewitness accounts at the location and the confession of the bus driver, the cause of the bus accident was because the driver avoided the motorbike in front of him. Because the bus was at high speed, the bus finally swerved after avoiding the motorbike, then crashed into the car showroom.

"From the results of the examination, the motive was that the driver avoided the vehicle in front. The bus swerved and hit the showroom on a different side of the current," he said.

AKBP Edy explained that eyewitnesses related to the incident also said the same thing to the bus driver.

"The driver avoids vehicles. Many people see everything," he said.

Furthermore, Edy emphasized, his party also secured a lot of evidence, victims and a number of witnesses.

The driver, continued Edy, was already in the BAP. If the BAP results find an element of negligence, the East Jakarta Satlantas will determine the suspect in the accident case. Meanwhile, the bus is still confiscated as evidence.

"We are looking into it. We have BAP bus drivers, we have strengthened them with other witnesses. Obviously (the determination of the suspects). The point is that we are still working together. The victim is only one motorcyclist who is still being treated at the Friendship Hospital. At the time of the incident, there were no victims in the showroom, because it was still closed and tightly locked, it was not yet operational," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a hiba bus on the Depok - Soetta Airport route crashed into a used car showroom building on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Wednesday, November 2.

Officers at the location had sterilized because buildings and power lines were feared to collapse. The evacuation was carried out for five hours. After being evacuated, the bus unit, five cars and two motorbikes were taken to the East Jakarta Traffic Traffic Unit.

As a result of the accident, two motorbikes and five cars were destroyed. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was treated at the Friendship Hospital.
