JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea Gandi Sulistiyanto visited the sad moment in Seoul to pay tribute to the victims of the Halloween party tragedy in Itaewon.

He expressed his condolences and final tribute to the victims of the Itaewon tragedy at the behinds on Wednesday, November 2, referring to the statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul, quoted from Antara.

The Seoul City Government has set up a memorial or prayer table at Seoul Plaza in the center of the South Korean capital since Monday (31/10).

The deceased was also placed at Itaewon Plaza, which is located near the scene of the incident that killed more than 150 people.

The South Korean government has set a period of national mourning from October 30 to November 5, 2022.

Every day, thousands of South Koreans and foreigners line up to pay their respects at the▁namaur.

President Joko Widodo and Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi have expressed their condolences for the tragedy through their respective social media.

South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin has also expressed his gratitude for the messages of condolences from around the world and stated that the message provided great comfort to the people of the country during these difficult times.

On Wednesday, South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck Soo chaired a post-trage handling meeting at Itaewon.

Previously, the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul had said that there were 2 Indonesian citizens with the initials AR and CA who were identified as minor injuries in the incident.

"The two Indonesian citizens have received treatment and are now recovering," said the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul.

As of November 2 at 11.00 local time, 156 people died, 26 of whom were foreigners from 14 countries, namely Iran (5 people), China (4), Russia (4), US (2), Japan (2), France, Australia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Norway, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Austria.

According to the South Korean Disaster and Safety Management Agency, 36 people are still being treated for serious injuries (22) and minor injuries (14), and 121 people have returned from the hospital.
