Minister Of Health Budi Gunadi: 325 Cases Of Kidney Failure Patients Have Been Recorded, 178 Have Died

Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin reported the latest developments in cases of acute kidney failure in Indonesia in a working meeting with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Wednesday, November 2.

As of Tuesday, November 1, yesterday, there were 325 cases of patients suffering from kidney failure. A total of 178 acute kidney failure patients were reported to have died.

"Data as of yesterday (Tuesday, November 1), which we can monitor there are 325 acute kidney cases throughout Indonesia. And indeed there are concentrations in certain provinces, especially in North Sumatra, western Java, eastern part, and also South Sulawesi areas," said Budi Gunadi Sadikin in the DPR Commission IX Meeting Room, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 2. The area that contributed the most acute kidney failure cases was DKI Jakarta. Then West Java, East Java, Banten, Aceh, West Sumatra, and Bali. Even so, Budi continued, of the total patients who died decreased by 54 percent from the previous 60 percent. "Then we also saw the death now 178 out of 325, about 54 percent. This has decreased from the previous conditions which had reached 60 percent," he said.
