Palembang City Transportation Agency appealed to people who have two- and four-wheeled vehicles not to park carelessly around the Kuto Besak Fort area ahead of the IX Indonesian Heritage Network Rakernas (JKPI) in this city. Head of Traffic Supervision and Control of the Transportation Service (Dishub) Palembang City, Julyanzah, said that the appeal was conveyed because careless parking could interfere with the continuity of the event and cause traffic jams. "We will close access for vehicles entering the Kuto Besak Fort (BKB) area during the event on November 2-5, 2022, so that JKPI committee and carnival activities are not disrupted," he said in Palembang, Antara, Tuesday, November 1. He said that there would be a tentative closure of vehicle access from Jalan Rumah Bari to BKB because there would be a carnival parade at the national scale event. "The public is also asked not to pass through the area because at the event there will be a carnival parade," he said. Julyanzah said people who want to watch the event can park their vehicles outside the BKB area. "For the community to be able to park their vehicles outside the event area," he said. Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Palembang City, Ratu Dewa, has reviewed the location of the Indonesia Pusaka City Network (JKPI) event. "At that location, the gate, tent, and stage have started to be installed. At this JKPI event, we will also focus it on the Kuto Besak Fort (BKB) area and the SMB II Museum,” he said after reviewing the location of the JKPI event in Palembang, South Sumatra, Tuesday.
