Mahfud MD Calls PSSI General Chair Iwan Bule Will Mundur When KLB

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD stated that PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan alias Iwan Bule would resign. This resignation was carried out through the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB).

"They want to withdraw through the congress, through the KLB. They have said that already," Mahfud told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, November 1.

Mahfud said that the resignation of Iwan Bule and PSSI administrators was a form of moral responsibility for the Kanguruhan Tragedy which claimed up to 135 people.

This form of moral responsibility, he continued, also exists in the recommendations of the Independent Fact Finding Joint Team (TGIPF) of the Impact Tragedy.

"That's the recommendation. If we fire it, we can't. Our recommendations, if we have moral responsibility, yes, stop. Back down. That's the way to say, 'I quit' is okay, (pass, red) KLB is okay," he said.

Furthermore, Mahfud also ensured that the recommendations for the TGIPF of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy had also been implemented. "Changes in regulations, transformations, everything is done," said the former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK).

In addition, the punishment for those responsible has also been carried out. "The crime is running. Now the crime continues," said Mahfud.
