JAKARTA - Three atypical progressive acute kidney disorders patients undergoing treatment at the Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek (RSUDAM) Regional General Hospital in Bandar Lampung City, Lampung Province died. Director of RSUDAM dr. Lukman Pura said the three patients with acute kidney disorders who died consisted of one child aged 11 months, one child aged eight months, and one child 13 months. An 11-month-old patient with a progressive acute kidney disorder died last Saturday, an eight-month-old patient who entered the treatment room on Tuesday last week died one day later, and a third patient aged 13 months died on Friday, October 28 at around 17.00 WIB. "The three pediatric patients with kidney problems died at different times, the first was an 11-month-old patient due to unfavorable conditions, and the eight-month-old also caused a worse situation," he said in Bandar Lampung, Antara, Monday, October 31. "In fact, for patients aged 13 months, we and doctors are optimistic that they will recover, because there are a number of conditions to improve after dialysis through the stomach membrane or Continuous Ambtalory Peritoneal Dialysis for three days," he explained. According to him, after three days of dialysis therapy through the stomach membrane, the patient can produce urine and his condition improves. "For three days we have been optimistic, because those who handle up to 15 doctors, besides that urine can come out up to 20-30 times. However, after that a few days there was a decrease in conditions and there was respiratory failure," he said. Meanwhile, one patient categorized as a suspect, according to him, has been allowed to go home because he is only dehydrated. "He has been allowed to go home because after being injected with 200 cubic centimeters of urine, the toddler turned out to be only dehydrated and laboratory results did not lead to kidney disorders," he said. "Until now there have been no more (acute kidney disorders) patients, because nationally the cases have decreased," he added.
