Bogor Police, West Java Police revealed the stabbing with the mode of a census officer in Cimandala Village, Sukaraja, Bogor Regency. Apparently the perpetrator's heinous act was due to the motive of being hurt by being billed for a debt of Rp. 10,000. "The motive for the attempted murder was due to heartache, because this perpetrator was often billed for a debt of Rp. 10,000 by his parents (victims) in front of his friends," said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanuddin during a press conference, in Cibinong, Bogor, Thursday. The Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to secure a man with the initials AD (35) a few days after stabbing a woman with the initials T (20) on Thursday, October 20, 2022. The AD perpetrator, who works as a parking attendant, carried out the action at around 08.00 WIB, when the victim T was alone at home. The perpetrator went to the victim's house by claiming to be a population census officer and pretending to ask for a family card (KK) and the victim's family ID card. At that time, victim T tried to contact her parents using a call from inside the house, but AD suddenly entered the house and beat T. Iman said that victim T had fought back when the AD perpetrator carried out the persecution. Then the perpetrator stabbed the victim in the stomach and immediately fled. Victim T was then rushed to the Sukaraja FMC Hospital by a neighbor who heard T's screams shortly after being stabbed by the perpetrator. Luckily T was still saved even though he had to undergo the handling process by the medical team. "We will snare this perpetrator with Article 340 of the Criminal Code and 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 53 of the Criminal Code, namely about attempted murder or attempted murder which is planned with the threat of imprisonment of 20 years or life or the threat of death penalty," said Iman. Previously, Head of the Bogor Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Gandari Adianti Aju Fatimah appealed to the public to be careful when receiving visits from everyone claiming to be a census officer. He said that each census officer is equipped with an identity, either in the form of a name tag or an assignment letter from an official institution. "The public must first ensure that those who come to knock on the door are regsosek census officers or not. Our officers have the name tag, then also use black backpacks," said Gandari. He said that currently BPS Bogor Regency is conducting a socio-economic census through the 2022 Socio-Economic Registration Initial Data Collection (Regsosek) in the period 15 October-14 November 2022. According to him, as many as 9,209 officers from BPS are targeted to census 1.7 million families (KK) who live in Bogor Regency. "The goal is that we will record the entire population and the output is to increase the number of people in a welfare manner," said Gandari.
