The Bogor Regency Government Asks For Land Confiscation Of The BLBI Task Force In Puncak To Become A TPU

The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, has asked the Task Force for Handling State Collection Rights for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Fund (BLBI) to make the state confiscated land in the Puncak area a public cemetery (TPU). "The needs must be studied immediately (for TPU), especially since there are several confiscated state lands in Puncak which will be used as green open space (RTH) in Puncak, can also be requested for TPU," said Bogor Regency Regional Secretary (Sekda) Burhanudin in Cibinong, Bogor, Antara, Thursday, October 27. The reason is, the Puncak area, which consists of three sub-districts, namely Ciawi, Megamendung, and Cisarua, does not yet have facilities for public cemeteries. Burhan ordered the Bogor Regency Housing, Settlement and Land Office (DPKPP), to review funeral needs in the Puncak area. He hopes that the Bogor Regency Government will be involved by the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) in the process of redistribution of land confiscated by the BLBI Task Force in its territory. That way, the administration of land use can be recorded as regional assets and there will be no overlap. “ Preparation of public burial sites first in Ciawi, Megamendung and Cisarua. Because in the three sub-districts there is not yet. If there are people who die, they are buried at the Pondok Rajeg TPU,” said Burhan. Meanwhile, the Head of the Bogor Regency DPKPP, Ajat R Jatnika, explained that there are 76 TPUs in Bogor Regency with a total area of 242.6 hectares. However, said Ajat, only 18 of them or 72.9 hectares were active. “ Those who are active are 18 points. Even then, the occupancy is still low. Because there are still many people who choose to bury the family who died at the family's funeral, said Ajat. Ajat admits that the stigma that is formed in the community is that TPU is scary, expensive or difficult to take care of administration. "We hope that if someone dies, just be buried in the TPU. We have the following TPU with the funeral staff. This will actually facilitate our development planning," said Ajat. Of all these TPUs, only Pondok Rajeg TPU has a very high occupancy rate, reaching 85 percent, so the DPKPP must find a solution if one day the TPU is full. “ Not only public cemeteries in Puncak, we will arrange the existing TPU by juxtaposing it as a beautiful garden.
