Meeting Brigadier J's Family Next Week, Bripka RR Wants To Not Prevent The Murder Plan

JAKARTA - The defendant Bripka Ricky Rizal is said to be apologizing directly to the extended family of Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.

The apology was made during a meeting at a follow-up hearing with the agenda of examining witnesses next week.

"He (asked, ed) sorry can't do something that can't be prevented," lawyer Erman Umar told reporters, Wednesday, October 26.

Bripka Ricky Rizal did not prevent the murder plan. Instead, he supported Ferdy Sambo's plan by summoning Brigadier J, who before the shooting incident was in the park of the Police Complex, Duren Tiga.

"He is helpless and does not have the power to prevent it," said Erman.

Apart from that, Erman said there was no special preparation from his client or legal advisor in facing the follow-up trial.

Because, the main focus in the trial later will only listen to and analyze witness statements and apologize.

"There is no (preparation, ed)," said Erman.

For information, the panel of judges rejected the exception or memorandum of objection submitted by the defendant Bripka Ricky Rizal Wibowo. Thus, the trial process will proceed to the witness examination stage.

"Rejected the objection from the defendant's legal advisor Ricky Rizal in its entirety," said presiding judge Wahyu Imam Santoso.

In the follow-up trial which will be held on Wednesday, November 2, later, there will be 12 witnesses who will be presented. They are the extended family of Brigadier J.
