Irwandi received a joint release because he was declared well behaved and has served two-thirds of his sentence. The basis for granting this right is in Article 10 of Law Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections. After undergoing the parole program, Irwandi's status is no longer a convict. He is now a correctional client and must take guidance from the Correctional Center. "This has also been explained to the person concerned, the person concerned as a correctional client must not violate the rules that have been set," said Rika. Rika said, if Irwandi was found to have violated the rules, the parole would be revoked. He will be returned to prison if that happens. "If it is violated, the conditional rights can be revoked and the remaining criminal charges must be carried out again in prison," he said. Meanwhile, the Head of the Sukamiskin Class Penitentiary (Kalapas) Elly Yusar stated that Irwandi left prison in accordance with the decision of the Directorate General of PAS.
