PDIP: The Reprimand To Ganjar Is Ordinary, The Council Of Colonels Is Even Tougher

JAKARTA - Ganjar Pranowo was given a verbal reprimand by the DPP PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) as a result of his statement regarding his readiness to become a presidential candidate in 2024. The PDIP DPP said that the reprimand to the Governor of Central Java was a common thing. "Regarding this verbal warning, there are only normal things, there is nothing extraordinary," said the Head of the Honorary Division of the PDIP Party, Komarudin Watubun, Tuesday, October 25. Komarudin revealed that the verbal warning to Ganjar was a normal sanction from the party leadership to the cadre. According to him, the sanctions imposed on Ganjar after being summoned to the PDIP headquarters in Jakarta yesterday, were only a matter of discipline in communicating. "This is a matter of discipline in communicating. Therefore, Ganjar said 'I have never had to improve in communicating', so there really was nothing extraordinary," said Komarudin. In fact, Komarudin continued, a harsher warning was given to the council of colonels who had been formed to support and guard Puan Maharani as a presidential candidate in 2024. "The group calling itself a council of colonel, I gave even harder warnings. A harsh reprimand and finally because it has been reprimanded before. So there is nothing extraordinary ( Ganjar's reprimand)," he said.

Komarudin also ensured that the warnings given to Ganjar or to the Colonel Council were not orders from PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri, but against party decisions. It is known that the letter of warning against Ganjar and the Council of Colonel was signed by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Komarudin Watubun as Chair of the PDIP DPP Honorary Division. "Not according to Mrs. Mega, this is our decision, the decision of this party. A congressional decision is given to Mrs. Mega to determine who the candidate will be," said Komarudin.

In fact, said Komarudin, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto had also been reprimanded by the party for his statement which was considered wrong. Because, according to him, a warning to cadres is a way to discipline the party.

"I have also warned the Secretary General for miscommunication, I reprimanded him. So there is nothing extraordinary, mediocre. We only show that this party requires high discipline for our cadres, the character of the cadre must be built. Don't make other decisions and then try to play behind the existing rules," concluded Komarudin.
