Ical, A 12-year-old Boy Professor To Death In Cimahi, Is Threatened With Life In Prisons

JABAR - Rizaldi Nugraha Gumilar (22) alias Ical, the perpetrator of stabbing a 12-year-old boy in Cimahi, causing the victim to die, is threatened with a maximum sentence of death.

"With a maximum threat of death penalty or life imprisonment, and a minimum of 20 years in prison," said Cimahi Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Imron Ermawan when releasing the case at the Cimahi Police Headquarters, West Java, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 24.

Imron explained that the perpetrator of the stabbing of the boy was threatened with multiple articles, namely premeditated murder, robbery which resulted in the victim's death and child protection articles.

The article charged to the perpetrator is Article 340 in conjunction with Article 339 in conjunction with Article 338 in conjunction with Article 365 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code. Then Article 380 of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.

Ical stabbed the victim with the initials PS during a robbery. The perpetrator's actions were carried out when the victim left the mosque after the Koran on Wednesday, October 19 at around 18.45 WIB.

According to Imron, investigators are still investigating the parties suspected of trying to hide the perpetrators, including the parents of the perpetrators who were also questioned at the Cimahi Police.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol Ibrahim Tompo, added that the perpetrator had prepared a sharp weapon when departing from his residence, before carrying out the stabbing action. The perpetrator allegedly intended to rob the victim's cell phone.

The robbery and stabbing took place on Jalan Mukodar, Cimahi City, West Java. "The suspect used a motorbike to get off and chase the victim, at that time the victim had run away, then when he was close he was stabbed by the perpetrator," he said.
