The Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit has pocketed the identity of the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing of MR, an online motorcycle taxi jacket man who was stabbed to death on Jalan KH. Mas Mansyur, Kebon Melati, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

"(identity) It is suspected that the perpetrator is known," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Abang Metro Police AKP Fiernando Adriansyah when contacted by VOI, Monday, October 24.

Currently, the perpetrator is still being chased by Criminal Investigation Unit members in the field. The police said the man being pursued was still a suspected perpetrator.

"Still in pursuit," he said.

Until now, the stabbing case that led to death is still being handled by the Tanah Abang Metro Police. The police have also examined a number of witnesses regarding the stabbing incident.

"Temporary witnesses were examined by 3 people," he said.

Previously, it was reported that an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) man with the initials MR (24) died in Tanah Abang, Jakarta. MR was stabbed by an unknown person (OTK).

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Jl. KH. Mas Mansyur, Kebon Melati, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta at around 13.00 WIB.

"We hope that the perpetrators can surrender to admit their actions. Because at this time our team is still looking for the perpetrators," he said.

Komarudin explained that the incident began when the victim and the perpetrator quarreled at the crime scene (TKP). At the time of the incident the perpetrator was carrying a sharp weapon (sajam) type of knife.

"The perpetrator carried a knife so that the witnesses tried to hold hands or fold the perpetrator's hand so as not to stab," said Komarudin in his statement, Saturday, October 22.
