PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) plans to summon the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo to appear before the Honorary Council. The summons was made to clarify his statement regarding readiness to be appointed as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. "Yes, we'll just wait for the momentum. We will also clarify Ganjar regarding his statement," PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto told reporters in the GBK area, Jakarta, Sunday, October 23. It was not specified when the summons would be exact. However, Hasto said a request for clarification would be carried out after PDIP Honorary Council Chairman Komarudin Watubun returned from his constituency. "The Komar is currently in Papua, upon his return from Papua, clarification will be made," he said. Apart from Ganjar, the chairman of the Solo PDIP DPC FX Hadi Rudyatmo will also be summoned. The summons was made because the former mayor of Solo had provided his support for Ganjar. "We are doing the same thing because the law must be fair in the PDI-P so that we will also uphold organizational discipline," he said.
