JAKARTA - The police continue to investigate the case of a fire of eight housing units that killed a family on Jalan Kebon Pisang RT 08/10 East Pademangan, Pademangan, North Jakarta, Saturday, October 22, around the night.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pademangan Police, AKP Asman Hadi, said that he had examined a number of witnesses, including the victim's husband.

It is known that the three victims were mothers with the initials A (28) and two children AF (10) and ANZ (5).

"The husband of the victim and the witness who knew the first fire," said Asman in a short message, Sunday, October 23.

Asman explained that the incident began with a short circuit from the victim's second-floor house which caused a fire and spread to another settlement. When the incident happened, the mother and two children were asleep.

The victim's mother and two children are sleeping. Meanwhile, the victim's husband is still working," he said.

Asman said that his party was investigating the cause of the fire. The Forensic Laboratory of the National Police Headquarters was also involved.

"We are processing, we are coordinating the laboratory. Yes (to find the cause of the fire)," he concluded.

For information, as many as eight houses caught fire at Jalan Kebon Pisang RT 08/10 Pademangan Timur, Pademangan, North Jakarta, Saturday, October 22, at night. It is known, there was one family who died in the incident.

Head of the Operational Section of the North Jakarta Fire and Rescue or Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Abdul Wahid explained the chronology of the incident, allegedly the cause of the fire due to an electrical short circuit on the second floor of the house where A lives.

"The alleged cause of the short circuit prediction," he said in a written statement.

Abdul explained that the fire quickly grew and scorched the buildings that stood on the land of 20 x 15 square meters. He said the loss due to the fire was estimated at Rp500 million. Meanwhile, 25 heads of families (KK) also lost their homes.

"The loss dose is IDR 500 million," he said.
