PALEMBANG - The case of acute kidney failure which is increasingly rampant has made the General Hospital Dr Mohammad Hoesin (RSMH) Palembang, South Sumatra, take a number of anticipatory steps.

One of them is forming a special team. Later, this team will treat pediatric patients who experience symptoms of acute kidney failure.

Plt. Director of Medical and Maintenance Services at RSMH Palembang, Dr. Martha Hendry Sp.U, said that this special team was prepared because the number of suspected Aquatic Accuracy failures for Atypical (NOT APPROXIMATE) continues to grow.

He said the suspected kidney failure of accounts in children aged 0-18 years increased by one person on October 20. Previously, there were already two suspected patients who had been treated but later died.

In addition to appointing a special team to handle the health case, RSMH Palembang also conducted an epidemiological investigation into the drugs used by previous patients.

Then, the drugs will be sent to the toxicology laboratory section at the Forensic Laboratory of Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang.

"A series of efforts made by the media team and laboratory tests are to further examine cases of acute kidney failure in children and find suitable drugs, because kidney disorders that attack children are not caused by germs or viruses," he said, as reported by Antara, Saturday, October 22.

As a precautionary measure, the public is advised to temporarily avoid using sirop-type drugs in children. He advised parents to take non-medical actions against children who have a fever.

"Such as compressing, drinking a lot and wearing thin clothes, immediately checking the health condition of the child to a hospital where there is a pediatrician for further action," he said.
