JAKARTA - Chairman of the Democratic party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) spoke about Airlangga Hartarto's statement that opened the door to other parties to join the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). Airlangga made the offer during his top speech at the 58th Anniversary of the Golkar Party at JIExpo Kemayoran, Friday, October 21 evening. Today we read the political map of the country at the end of 2022 and before 2023. The more communication is formed between political parties. But I still believe everything is very fluid, which is clear that the Democrats also want to communicate with anyone," said AHY diplomatically after attending the anniversary of Golkar. AHY said that Democrats respect Golkar and KIB whose communications have been built before. So far, the Democrats are still building relations with NasDem and PKS. "And of course all of this is also in the spirit of continuing to bring positive energy to a better Indonesia in 2024 and beyond," explained AHY. AHY admits that building a coalition is a challenge in itself considering the presidential threshold threshold threshold of 20 percent.
