The rise of a number of thefts in the South Jakarta area has made the Cilandak Metro Police strengthen communication with residents or the community to work together to prevent theft or other crimes.

Cilandak Police Chief Kompol Multazam Lisendra said the Cilandak Sector Police often motivated environmental security system (sikamling) officers to prevent theft in the South Cipete area.

"Sikamling is also a form of community policing where public awareness to play an active role in maintaining security in their respective environments," said Cilandak Police Chief Kompol Multazam Lisendra in a written statement, Thursday night, October 20.

In addition, Multazam added, the Siskamling officers were able to contact the Cilandak Polsektro via telephone lines (hotlines) which had been distributed through banners installed in their area.

He gave appreciation and motivation to the Sikamling officers to be more enthusiastic and more concerned about maintaining and maintaining security in their respective environments.
