The 2022 RB5 asteroid was first observed on September 15, 2022, and has orbital parameters similar to the Apollo asteroid, thus entering the Apollo asteroid family. Apollo asteroid (1862 apollo) is a 1.5 km asteroid discovered by Karl Reinmuth at the Heidelberg Observatory, Germany on April 24, 1932.
