JAKARTA - The Setiabudi Metro Police have resolved the problem of the difference between residents in Pasar Manggis Village, South Jakarta. "Both parties at odds have reconciled and forgiven each other, and a statement letter was made from both parties," said Setiabudi Metro Police Chief Kompol Agung Permana in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, October 19. Agung explained that the incident began when there was a traffic jam on Jalan Ungaran, then there was a dispute between the parking attendant and road users. Shortly thereafter, a road user named Iwan arrived carrying a sharp sickle-type weapon and inviting several people while looking for a parking attendant. Because they couldn't find the person they were looking for, road users vented their frustration by damaging the parking attendant's motorbike. Meanwhile, parking attendants who knew they were wanted were trying to find a loan weapon to defend themselves, but were not given by a friend. Not long after, other residents came to road users and questioned the purpose of carrying sharp weapons and making a fuss, but the person concerned did not answer and disperse. Thirty minutes after the incident, the two warring residents were met and asked to forgive each other and make a statement. There were no casualties in this incident and both parties have made peace witnessed by residents and the police at the RW05 Secretariat, Manggis Market.
