Yanto claims that the indigenous Papuan community supports the KPK in investigating the alleged corruption case of Governor Lukas Enembe. "For now, I can say that the entire indigenous Papuan community supports law enforcement against Papuan children, whoever they are, are indicated to have misappropriated state finances," said Yanto Eluay in a written statement in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, October 19. According to him, the support was to uncover the misuse of Papua's Special Autonomy funds carried out by Papuan officials. In addition to supporting the KPK, Yanto also hopes that the central government will pay attention to public services, which are currently hampered by the illness of Governor Lukas Enembe. Yanto also commented on the inauguration of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe as Head of the Papuan Customary Council (DAP). He assessed that the DAP's actions had damaged the customary order. Yanto said that the inauguration or appointment had tarnished the authority of the Papuan people. "I myself as a traditional leader in Papua want to convey that what the Papua Customary Council has done regarding the inauguration of Lukas Enembe as the Head of the Big Tribe for seven customary regions in Papua is an act that insults and damages the customary order of Papua," he asserted. Yanto explained that the appointment of a person to become the head of the Papuan extended family must have certain criteria, such as having a lineage or lineage of tribal chiefs, not just confirming someone as the head of the Big Tribe because of certain interests. “ A leader must be a role model.
