JAKARTA - The defendant in the obstruction of justice case, Arif Rachman Arifin, was charged with eliminating evidence of the murder case of Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. This is because he broke the laptop containing CCTV footage. The destruction began when Arif Rachman received a laptop containing CCTV footage from Baiquni Wibowo on July 14. He broke the laptop into several parts. "The defendant Arif Rachman deliberately broke the laptop with his hands into several parts," he said. "So that it causes the electronic system to become not working properly," continued the prosecutor. Furthermore, the laptop that had been destroyed was handed over to the Directorate of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri voluntarily on Monday, August 8. With that role, Arif Rachman was charged with Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 subsidiary Article 48 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 32 Paragraph (1) of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code or Article 233 subsidiary Article 221 Paragraph (1) 2nd in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
