LSI Denny JA Survey: The Majority Who Believes In Police Choose Puan Maharani, Can't Trust Choose Anies

JAKARTA - The national survey institute LSI Denny JA released the findings related to the Ferdy Sambo case and the presidential election voters today, Tuesday, October 18. As a result, the majority of the public who believe in the police chose DPR Speaker Puan Maharani. Meanwhile, those who did not believe preferred the former Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan. In the LSI Denny JA survey, public trust in the National Police decreased due to the premeditated murder case committed by Ferdy Sambo Cs against Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat. In Anies voters, who believe and do not believe the police are almost as numerous, the difference is the margin of error," Ardian said in an online survey presentation, Tuesday, October 18. Ardian explained that the people who chose Puan, 69.5 stated that they believed in the police. As many as 30.5 percent stated that they did not believe in the police. "The proportion between those who believe and those who do not trust the police in Puan's voters is close to 70 percent compared to 30 percent," he explained. Then, the people who chose Airlangga Hartarto 60 percent stated that they believed in the police. As many as 40 percent stated that they did not believe in the police. Meanwhile, the people who voted for Prabowo, 59.1 percent stated that they believed in the police. As many as 40 percent stated that they did not believe in the police. Almost equal to Puan, the people who chose Ganjar, 66.8 percent said they believed in the police. A total of 32.7 percent stated that they did not believe in the police. Meanwhile, only Anies voters, who more than 45 percent, did not trust the Police. "People who voted for Anies, 49.7 percent said they believed in the police. A total of 47.4 percent stated that they did not believe in the police," said Ardian. This survey was conducted on September 11-20 2022 involving 1,200 respondents in 34 provinces throughout Indonesia. The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews using a questionnaire. The survey method uses multistage random sampling with a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percent.
