JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) ensures that it will not ignore human rights or human rights in the examination of Lukas Enembe, who has the status of a suspect. The health condition of the Governor of Papua will be of concern.

"KPK is obliged to ensure the suspect's health condition to assist the suspect's medical treatment and recovery," Acting KPK Spokesperson Ipi Maryati told reporters, Tuesday, October 18.

Furthermore, the KPK also stated that it had received the results of an examination from a doctor in Singapore who used to check on Lukas. However, Ipi made sure that his party would not believe it immediately.

The independent team from the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PB IDI), he continued, will depart for Jayapura, Papua. The departure of this team is planned to be discussed with several parties, including a team of doctors from Lukas Enembe.

"The technical visit of the IDI Independent Doctor Team will be discussed further at the IDI headquarters which will be attended directly by the IDI Independent Doctor Team, LE suspect Doctor Team, and the KPK Doctor Team," he said.

However, Ipi did not specify when the KPK would travel to the IDI PB Office. He only made sure to check the health condition conveyed by the team of doctors, Lukas Enembe.

Previously, Papua Governor Lukas Enembe's attorney, Roy Rening, said a team from IDI would examine his client in Jayapura. He even claimed that KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri would go there and meet his client.

"The chairman of the KPK will be present directly with a team of independent doctors who will go to Jayapura," Roy told reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, October 17.

Roy stated that he received information that Firli would go to Jayapura from the Director of KPK Enforcement Asep Guntur Rahayu. However, it is not detailed when the team will participate.

"So it was confirmed earlier that he would also attend Jayapura is the Chairman of the KPK itself. It was conveyed like that," he said.

Lukas has been named a suspect by the anti-corruption commission. However, the case against him has not been detailed.
